Good morning everyone, I hope you had as good a morning as I did.
Welcome to the first post of “My Petaluma”, a blog that I’ll be dedicating to my favorite neighborhoods, restaurants, and sites around the quirky town that is Petaluma.

Today’s post…”The WestHaven Loop”

This cool and windy Thursday morning I decided to trade a cup of coffee for a few panoramic views.

For you bikers out there, that’s a 2006 Lemond Reno on the left.  I bought the thing a few weeks ago from Bici Sport located on Kentucky street, I got a great deal on last year’s model and those guys really make sure that you’re dialed in…I’ll have to write a post about them soon!

For those of you who aren’t very familiar with West Petaluma, WestHaven is a Subdivision by Christopherson Homes that began selling around 2005.  They poured a great asphalt walking trail along the ridge above the subdivision, as you can see from this next image, the views are truly amazing.

WestHaven was built as an “Executive Subdivision”…the lowest sale tipped the $1 Million Dollar mark at $1,050,000 earlier this year.  They’re all 3+ bedrooms and over 3000 sqft, single and multi-level homes with Craftsman Style Architecture.  There’s currently one final home for sale from the builder, of course, feel free to drop an email for details.

Getting back to the ridge, these other shots should give you an idea of the rest of the view:

The last shot was of the Victoria subdivision.  Built in the 1990s it has Helen Putnam Regional park as it’s neighbor.  Like most other neighborhoods, this area is selling for 2005 or even 2004 prices - truly an amazing deal if you’re in the market.
After clicking off a few more shots with the Canon (I use a Canon S3), I decided it was time to take a break from “work” and headed home to drop off the equipment.  (It’s amazing how much lighter you feel taking off a 15 lb. backpack)  Then it was a quick 10 mile loop out “I” street and back “D” street and then off to Coldwell Banker.  The “I” Street loop…maybe that will be the next post!

One final image, a rare shot of a local “vineyard” from one of the Petaluma Real Estate Community’s own!

See you around town,

-Armand

Hey I love your sharing of your bike ride. I have been on that trail walking and it’s totally cool. I think a real secret from most people. The views are incredible and maybe like you, I could take pictures all day up there. Thanks and it nice to see a real estate agent with a personality and who appreiciates the green belt. Wish I could afford one of those homes but for now I will wait for mine to appreciate a little more. Maybe I will see you on the trail sometime and say hi.
