As far as I’m concerned, the old redwood-style shingles and retro kitchens looked fine before the remodel, the upgrades make it look great for the price.  A good friend of mine rented a unit out with her girlfriends in their early 20s … unit #8, the “penthouse”. 

For the monthly cost of a basin street apartment, one of these could be your penthouse!
