Although we met Robert in the local dog park in 1993 and thought he was the nicest fellow we didn't need his professional help until we purchased our second home in Petaluma in 2005. We are so glad we asked Robert and Elaine to help us with that search (it took 8 months to find the right property). We used them again for a recent sale in Santa Rosa that just closed in March 2011. In this market it proved to be a difficult sale but they helped us through it all, especially Elaine. We have used them for both sides of a real estate transaction and have been pleased with the care and attention we received. We have experienced other agents in other transactions but Robert and Elaine stand out as being as careful and honest as one can get. I enjoyed working with Robert and Elaine. Robert kept me informed every step of the way, especially with the distance involved because of where I live. Robert was forth coming with regards to pricing my father's house for sale. I realize that the real estate market is in such constant flux. I liked working with someone who let me know what we can get for the house. I'm very satisfied with the price we sold my father's house for and especially with how fast we were able to sell the house. I liked being able to sign for documents using Docusign. Having recently purchased my first home, I am certain that I had the BEST real estate agents in Petaluma. I looked for someone local who had been in the business for many years through prosperous times and not so prosperous. When I first met with Elaine I knew she was the one to help me find my home. She helped me decide on the type of house I wanted, what features were important to me, the right neighborhood, and what my price range was. I had perfect confidence in Robert & Elaine’s handling of our complicated short sale transaction, they did a superb job throughout the whole process and were able to bring it to a successful conclusion. They were always organized, detail oriented, and kept up an excellent flow of communication over the roughly seven months it took to complete the short sale process. The short sale process is very convoluted but Elaine did a great job always monitoring and staying on top of the requirements and communicating with the short sale teams and lenders. It took me about two years to decide to sell my house and the Ramirezs walked me through the process, showed me comps in my area and basically held my hand throughout. Robert is a total rockstar. He and his wife, Elaine, know Petaluma intimately, have been here for a long while (long enough to know whether that wall was original to the house!), and know exactly what to do to help first timers nagivate the wierd world of REOs and short sales. The key things that make him five-star: -Knows EVERY neighborhood -Doesn't waste your time with places you aren't going to like - scouts them out, gets your feedback. -Doesn't let you miss something he thinks you WILL like - even if you think it's not going to be good, trust him. -He and Elaine are all about education - they go over all the stuff y ou need to know, point out janky heaters, explain wierd counter offers, make you feel prepared. You'll never feel like something is getting out of hand, or drifting off course. -He's got range - doesn't matter if you're entry-level or working on your sixth income property, fixe or fancy. -He is a no-nonsense closer with nerves of steel. You want the place, you've got the money, he'll make it happen. He stuck by us for what seemed like an eternity dealing with a bank (the seller), and when I was beginning to despair he pulled of a 9th inning miracle. When your'e ready, call them up. We had a first escrow that cancelled midway and they tried everything possible to make it stay together until they advised me to let it go and assured me that they would find another better buyer. It was the best advice i got because immediately we got another offer that was all cash and closed in 15 days with a nice couple who will appreciate and take care of my home.
